Letter to Parents and Carers

(After the Main Nursery OFSTED Report)

18 December 2018

Dear Parents and carers,

I am attaching the letter from the inspector following our recent Ofsted Inspection which I hope you will find an interesting read.

Because of the type of inspection (Section 8) it is not possible for the school to change grade, but rather to be told you will be re-inspected within two years, if the school has declined, or four years in which case the school has continued to improve.

I am delighted to say that we have received a judgement which puts us in the second category and means that we continue to provide a high standard of education for your children. This outcome is a great tribute to the partnership between yourselves, the staff and the Governing Body and is richly deserved.

I know that the school under the leadership of the new Acting Headteacher Nicky Walters (supported by Heidi Price, Headteacher of Yealmpstone Farm Primary School) will continue to strive to improve further and will be considering the actions for development closely.

I would like to thank all the current and past families and children as well as the staff for their support whilst I have been Headteacher. The last eight years have been a lot of hard work but also a great deal of fun and I will take many fond memories with me. I know that the school is in good hands and I wish all the staff and yourselves and your children every success in the future.

A very Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year.

Yours sincerely

Brian Lee
Headteacher.
