Protecting Children (Safeguarding)

We have the well-being and safety of children at the very core of what we do.

The Governing body takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children; and to work together with other agencies to ensure adequate arrangements within our school to identify, assess, and support those children who are suffering harm.

We recognise that all adults, including temporary staff, volunteers and governors, have a full and active part to play in protecting our pupils from harm, and that the child’s welfare is our paramount concern.

The document below will give some additional background and detail of what this means.

Full details can be found on the "General Policies" Tab on this page

Encompass has been running in schools for some time. It has been designed to provide early reporting of any domestic abuse which could affect a child's well-being. The school is notified through a phone call or email following an incident.
